Take the example of a company vision. It is essential and energizing, but also, by nature, it demands everybody to bring something NEW to the table, whether it is a new way of working or taking on a new role.
On the opposite end of it, though, there are our habits. And they instantaneously kick in when our busy and demanding lives happen where our attention gets scattered. Why do habits and habitual ways of thinking take over? Simply because they have more momentum – and the “new” does not.
#executivecoaching aims to help the person observe themselves truthfully and compassionately and say, “What is the next right move?”. It goes very much hand in hand with the practice of #reflection I mentioned in my last week’s post.
